Intergamma and Kozmoz recently joined forces to bring the concept of the colour selector and paint testers from GAMMA Nederland to life at the point of sale. Building on this success, they are continuing their collaboration with a second run in 2024.
GAMMA offers many paint colours and types. To help consumers work out which paint and colour best suits their project, the DIY chain developed a unique testing concept. Shoppers can purchase a colour tester in the colour of their choice, the right type of paint and the right level of finish.
To showcase the range of testers to their full advantage, GAMMA was looking for a partner to bring the concept to life at the point of sale.
Kozmoz took over the original concept, produced the complete unit and, in collaboration with RMB, provided the complete POS installations in more than 90
GAMMA points of sale. The stylish installation gives consumers an at-a-glance view of the various options using colour cards and samples, and also offers plenty of space to display the brand’s paint testers in a neat, elegant fashion.
In 2024, a new single-sided configuration was developed and installed in 40 stores, with options designed to be used as a standalone unit or mounted on TEGO shelving (link to site). An additional 25 stores will also receive this new version of the colour selector by the end of the year.
In this second phase of the project, Kozmoz has maintained the core principles that define its success: modularity, elegance, and practicality. This single-sided version, designed to be elegant and functional, blends in perfectly with the shelves while facilitating the consumer’s shopping experience. With clear visual guides and technical explanations, everyone can easily find the paint and colour that best suits their needs.
Every last detail of the fully modular, flexible modules, which were specially developed to provide a crystal-clear overview, has been pored over. “We provided special injection mouldings that ensure that a very large part of the colour cards is visible,” says Karl Gielis, KAM at Kozmoz. “This allows shoppers to get an even better idea of the colours. We also equipped the colour-tester displays with pusher systems, so that perfect alignment of the colour testers is restored whenever somebody takes one out. This means that the units continue to look neat and sleek. Details like that really make a difference to the appearance of a store.
Special LED lighting particularly emphasises the different colour samples, while solid base cabinets with wood-imitation soft-close drawers ensure that the colour selector blends seamlessly with GAMMA’s store concept. What’s more, the communication messages on the units can be easily changed. “The visuals on the furniture are magnetic,” explains Karl Gielis. “This means that over the years ahead we can make visual updates to the colour selector or adapt it to the evolving range without having to carry out major alterations. That makes everything a lot more flexible and sustainable.”
The units were pre-assembled in the workshop so they can be quickly assembled on site. After transporting them to the various sales points (more than 90 GAMMA stores across the Netherlands), we worked with our regular partner RMB Fieldmarketing to ensure smooth, seamless installation in the retail space
Thanks to years of experience in the field of wall paintings, we knew that Kozmoz was the right partner to bring this extensive project to a successful conclusion. A great example of the benefits of a strong partnership!

Intergamma chose Kozmoz as its partner based on years of successful cooperation. Kozmoz carried out the first order for Intergamma back in 2013. “Thanks to years of experience in the field of wall paintings, we knew that Kozmoz was the right partner to bring this extensive project to a successful conclusion. A great example of the benefits of a strong partnership!” said Erik Tessels, Project manager at Intergamma.
